I lead the bioethics program at a major hospital in Washington DC and also do a bit of teaching at Georgetown University School of Medicine. I switched mid-career from law (international corruption) and have done some work relating to global health and development, biorisk, and medical research ethics. I was inspired by Carl Sagan, Derek Parfit, and Peter Singer back in the day but am a newish arrival to EA. I like board games and fake meat and am pretty into being a dad.
