Congratulations, Stella! This is a huge milestone, and it's inspiring to see the persistence behind it. Building a community from the ground up is never easy, especially when resources are limited, so it's wonderful to see the Alphabet Institute now has a physical home.
At AI Safety Zambia (https://www.aisafetyzambia.com), we're working toward a complementary mission. We're building a community of students, researchers, developers, policymakers, and professionals interested in AI safety, governance, effective altruism, and responsible AI development in Zambia and across Africa. We organize workshops, hackathons, research collaborations, and connect Zambians with global fellowships, grants, and career opportunities in the AI safety ecosystem.
It's exciting to see multiple organizations strengthening the effective altruism and AI ecosystem in Zambia from different angles. I hope there will be opportunities for collaboration in the future, particularly around helping young people make informed career decisions, build future ready skills, and contribute to solving some of our country's and the world's most pressing challenges.
Congratulations again, and I look forward to seeing more updates.
