We are pleased to share the first general impact report of Convergence Animaux Politique (CAP). For those who may not yet be familiar with the work of CAP, it is a French animal advocacy organization specializing in political advocacy, filling an important gap in the French animal movement by providing coordinated lobbying strategy support to NGOs working on animal protection in the country.
This report reflects on eight years of work by CAP and its 25 partner NGOs to make animal protection a recognized and influential political issue in France. It presents our theory of change, focused on reducing animal suffering by turning ideas into laws and embedding animal protection across public policy.
This report also shares its political advocacy strategy and key insights drawn from our experience in France. We hope it will inspire and support organizations in other countries, helping the animal protection movement expand its political influence across Europe.
We would be delighted to discuss these findings and explore how they could be adapted to other national contexts.
