Determinants of happiness in poor countries

First, thank you for all the work done by the EA community !

I was looking for the most unhappy people on the planet. I very much appreciate Prof. Layard team's studies, showing that mental health was determinant of unhappiness number one. But this work focuses on rich countries mainly. Does anyone know of anything similar for poor countries ? I doubt for instance that mental illness is more detrimental to well-being than being hungry all the time.
