We're looking for a senior finance professional to own the full financial function of a fast-growing, multi-entity (US, UK, CA, NL) non-profit — building the systems, controls, and team needed to get there.

Giving What We Can is on a mission to make effective and significant giving a cultural norm — working towards a world without extreme poverty, animal suffering, and existential risk. Our goal: 1 million pledgers giving $3B/year to the highest-impact organisations - and this role is crucial to achieve this goal.

Ideal candidate:

• Deep financial management experience (5-10y, multi-million budgets, multi-entity organizations)
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Strategic, accountable, fluent financial communicator
• Builds scalable systems
• And ideally some of the following:
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge
  • Experience building and scaling financial systems and operations in a fast-growing organisation
  • Comfortable across multiple jurisdictions — payroll, audits, statutory and regulatory filings
  • Strategic thought partner to leadership, able to translate complex financials for non-finance stakeholders
  • Familiarity with nonprofit, grantmaking, or philanthropy finance a plus
