I'm a Mechatronics Engineering student passionate about AI safety, global development, and effective altruism. I lead the EA chapter at ABU and am actively upskilling in AI governance and technical safety. I've participated in fellowships on AI alignment and biosecurity, given talks on AI safety in Nigeria, and focus on building the AI safety ecosystem in underrepresented regions through tech-driven, socially impactful projects.
I'm looking for opportunities to collaborate on AI safety/governance research, mentorship for running EA groups, support for inclusive AI policy and data diversity, and guidance or funding for tech-driven social impact projects.
I’ve been thinking that there might be a reason why donations under $5 aren’t allowed, which could prevent some people from actually giving what they can. However, I’m not certain, and I believe this post might spark some helpful insights from the community.
Yeah, I am looking forward to attending EAGxNigeria.
Hi Dr. Veit,
Thank you for sharing this exciting initiative—your lab sounds like a fascinating and important project.
I was wondering if there might be any opportunities for undergraduate involvement or collaboration, whether remote or in-person?
