Founder and Co-Director of NISA, a registered NGO in Jodhpur focused on women's economic empowerment. My work sits at the intersection of grassroots development and systemic policy change. Background in social exclusion and inclusive policy, with experience in legislative research at the Indian Parliament.

I'm now pivoting into AI governance, focusing on international verification and monitoring regimes, power concentration, and the agency of the Global South in AI governance. I'm interested in whether the EA framework can hold space for justice-oriented approaches without losing rigor.

I speak English, Hindi, Russian, and basic Spanish. Vegetarian and a cinephile.

How others can help me

  • Connect me to people working on AI governance, especially international verification/monitoring regimes, power concentration, or Global South AI policy.
  • Introduce me to mentors who transitioned into AI safety/governance from non-technical backgrounds.
  • Feedback or intros on my idea for a tech-enabled org building AI governance capacity in the Global South.
  • I'm also open to high-impact operations or program management roles at EA-aligned orgs (contract, freelance, or full-time).

How I can help others

  • Offer a grounded perspective on implementing programs in complex, low-resource, and culturally sensitive contexts in India.
  • Provide feedback on MEL frameworks, community needs-assessments, or operational systems for small NGOs.
  • Share my experience applying to competitive EA programs.
  • Chat about navigating a career pivot from grassroots development to longtermist/AI causes.
  • Offer a Global South / justice-oriented lens on AI governance questions especially who bears risk and who holds authority in international AI regimes.
