Timaeus is hiring Research Scientists and Research Engineers, and potentially a Research Lead, to work on cutting-edge AI alignment research, with a focus on applying singular learning theory (SLT) to interpretability and model behavior. The team is tackling foundational questions in deep learning theory while also working on practical AI safety challenges.
The roles are remote-first (with hubs in Berkeley, London, and Melbourne) and offer the opportunity to contribute to high-impact alignment research alongside a small, technical team. Backgrounds in ML, mathematics, or computational statistics are especially relevant, though deep SLT experience is not required.
