Is everything moot if our value system doesn’t change?

I’ve been thinking lately about how tranquility could be a way forward and that a Tranquilist value system would be better for us as a society to hold because it allows for other value systems to exist within it, so long as they don’t impose on others. Seems like it could be the baseline, or the foundational value system that all others are built from. So that no single value system dominates. It just feels like all forms of charity are putting bandaids on the problem (which is needed) and should include education on how our current value system allows for such problems in the first place.
