Hi EA Community,

I've recently delved into Forage (https://www.theforage.com/dashboard), a platform where individuals can undertake real-world tasks from leading companies to test and refine their skills. This has led me to ponder two main questions:

  1. Is there an EA-specific platform? I'm curious if there's a similar platform tailored for the EA community. A dedicated space for EAs to assess their aptitudes, engage in problem-solving relevant to effective altruism, and perhaps simulate decision-making scenarios could greatly benefit personal growth and our collective impact.
  2. EA alignment of Forage organizations: Forage lists notable organizations like KPMG, Accenture, Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, and BCG, among others. I'm interested in insights on how these, or other organizations featured on Forage, align with EA principles. Are there specific programs or companies known for their commitment to social impact, ethical considerations, or contributions to areas highly valued by the EA community? If anyone could point out some of these companies, that would be excellent!

    Thank you,

    Aaron Graifman

I'm not sure that there is, but I've long felt that enabling people to do some realistic regulation tasks would help a lot of early-careers policy people across all cause areas. It would be a fantastic regulation tool.

Thank you. When you say "regulation tasks" what are you thinking of more specifically?
