I am looking for people or sources that can help me understand Molloch (https://nonzerosum.games/whoismoloch.html) in a game theoretical sense.  I have an undergraduate in mathematics but I have been out of the field for more than a decade now. (Perhaps Molloch has been as well) I feel there is something more fundamental in why cooperation breaks down on a global scale but not sure where to start reading. 

Can anyone here help me out? Papers/ references/ whatsapp/ telegram groups?
