Sub title: Which option is more likely to be better for EtG in CS: a course-based or thesis-based master’s degree(Which takes 6-12 months more)?
Since I’m only 19 years old, I don’t yet have a clear idea of what CS research is actually like. However, it is important for me to know which path—a course-based or thesis-based master’s degree—I am more likely to pursue so that I can prepare accordingly (ex. by deciding whether to focus more on my GPA or research experience)
Since I will complete my undergraduate degree in Taiwan but hope to pursue earning to give (EtG) in the US, I have to attend graduate school in the U.S.
As far as I know, most people who do not plan to enter academia choose a course-based master’s program. However, many of the highest-paying jobs in CS and AI seem to place considerable value on research experience. On the other hand, for many jobs, direct work experience may be more valuable than spending additional time writing a thesis in graduate school.
So, in your opinion, which option is more likely to be better for EtG in CS: a course-based or thesis-based master’s degree?

I don't have any insights into the technical trade offs here. However, generalising across lots of similar questions, the best advice is typically to do what you will enjoy and thrive in better, rather than trying to figure out which theoretically you better for a job. That's because doing well and remaining excited, passionate and enthusiastic about the field is typically more important than minor differences in qualifications.
