Fortify Health: Growth and Development Volunteer to Support CEO During Rapid Scale

Fortify Health is hiring a part-time volunteer (10–20h/week, remote) to work directly with me (the CEO) and our Chief of Staff on our growth and fundraising strategy during a key phase of scale.

We focus on reducing iron deficiency anaemia through large-scale wheat flour fortification in India—an intervention with a strong evidence base and high cost-effectiveness. Following recent funding, we plan to expand to reach ~60 million people over the next three years. We are a team of almost 100 and planning to scale rapidly. 

This role offers unusually direct exposure to high-stakes decisions particularly over the next vew months. This is a fast-paced, high-exposure role suited to someone excited to apply evidence-driven thinking to real-world fundraising and growth.

• Direct involvement in conversations with effective giving organisations
• Drafting communication materials on cost-effectiveness to diverse funder audiences
• Supporting real-time fundraising and partnership efforts with CEO

For someone considering a path in EA-aligned operations, communications, or fundraising, this is a chance to build highly transferable skills while contributing to a programme already operating at significant scale.

We think this role may be particularly valuable for early-career candidates aiming to test fit for high-impact nonprofit work, or to strengthen their profile for future EA roles.

We would like the successful candidate to start immediately, and work until June 2026 (with a real potential to convert to a paid role thereafter).
