Time-sensitive: I'm hoping to arrange this before June 30. Inspired by Mitchell Laughlin and Adam.Kruger's donation swap post. Kudos to Claude for writing this.
I'm an Australian taxpayer hoping to donate ~AU$6,500 (~US$4,500 / £3,400 / €3,900) to the Effective Altruism Animal Welfare Fund (AWF), which isn't tax-deductible in Australia.
I'm looking to swap with someone in a country where the AWF is deductible (e.g., US, UK, Netherlands) and who's planning to donate a few thousand dollars to charities that are already tax deductible in Australia (all GiveWell-recommended charities).
We each donate to the other's preferred charity but can both get the tax benefit.
Australian tax-deductible charities you could donate to
All available through Effective Altruism Australia. You can pick a specific charity, or give to a GiveWell fund and let them allocate.
Top recommended charities & funds
- Top Charities Fund (GiveWell)
- All Grants Fund (GiveWell)
- New Incentives
- Malaria Consortium
- Helen Keller International
- Against Malaria Foundation
Other charities they support
- Deworm the World Initiative (led by Evidence Action)
- Unlimit Health (formerly SCI)
- StrongMinds
- One Acre Fund
- Giving What We Can
- GiveDirectly
Send me a message if you're interested. You'll tell me which charity / option you'd like, I'll donate to it through EAA and you donate the equivalent to the AWF.
Thanks all!
