tl;dr: EA for Jews is now accepting applications for the spring 2025 cohort of our intro program, the EA and Judaism Intro Fellowship! Please spread the word to anyone you know who might be interested! If you are connected with a Jewish organization that might be able to help us promote the fellowship, please let us know at [email protected].
We’re excited to announce that we will be running the next round of the EA and Judaism Intro Fellowship starting this April!
The fellowship is an 8-week program you can do alongside school or work that explores the core ideas of effective altruism and their relationship to Jewish tradition, texts, culture, and history.
While most cohorts will meet virtually, we can have in-person cohorts if there are enough people interested from a particular location.
The fellowship explores questions such as:
The only requirements are:
The fellowship is open to people of all stages of education and work including undergrad, postgrad, and early-late career, as well as people from any and all Jewish backgrounds. No affiliation with a particular institution or Jewish denomination is required, nor is any prior engagement with effective altruism.
For any questions, reach out to us at [email protected] or schedule a 1-1 with Sam, our director.
The Fellowship will start the week of April 20th and last for 8 weeks.
The deadline to apply is Thursday, April 10th.

We are looking for facilitators who can help lead a cohort of fellows toward a good exchange of ideas. You can lead a group either in person within your own community or online. Please reach out to me at [email protected] if interested.
If you have a connection with a Jewish organization that can help promote our fellowship (such as your synagogue, campus Hillel, study program, etc.) let us know at [email protected].
Thank you in advance!
